PU foams
PU foams, also known as polyurethane foams, are low cost soft open cell foams, used for many applications from gaskets, anti-vibration components, presentation inserts, packaging and more. They are ideal if you need flexibility, thermal insulating or vibration absorbing properties.
Adhesive Backed Materials Ltd can apply adhesive backings and kiss-cut or die-cut to your specific requirements.
Neoprene Foam
Closed cell neoprene foams are commonly used in applications to seal against air, dust, water, oils and chemicals. It also performsa well in sound-proofing, noise and heat insulation applications. Neoprene foam with one of our adhesive backings applied, are used in the automotve, electronics and construction sectors as gaskets and sealing strips.
Neoprene is suitable for indoor & outdoor use and has good resistance to compression, atmospheric ageing, sunlight, oils, and greases.
EPDM Foam
EPDM as with neoprene, is a closed cell material making it a good choice for sealing applications, with excellent UV and ozone resistance along with retaining it elasticity at low temperaures it often finds it's best place in outdoor environments. It also has good resistance to acids, water based chemicals and vegetable based hydrocarbons but is not recommended for use with mineral
oils and di-ester based lubricants.

PE foams
PE/polyethylene foam is a firm and closed-cell foam which has good compression recovery. It is perfect if you need a very light weight component with flexibility that will retain its original shape after repeated use.
It is ideal in 'shock absorption' applications and is commonly used for gaskets, seals, sport applications and packaging.
We stock Polyethylene foam in rolls with a skin surface from 0.5mm thickness to 10mm thickness and also Zotefoams Plastazote range in sheets from 5mm to 30mm thickness.
Silicone Foam
Silicone foams have outstanding high/low temperature resistance without failure. Typical applications include glazing seals, gaskets and sealing washers It has excellent compression deflection characteristics and has good resistance to weathering, UV & Ozone damage.
PVC Nitrile Foam
PVC Nitrile foam is a soft closed cell material with a skin surface that has excellent thermal insulation properties, good resistance to oil, ozone & UV corrosion and is fire rated to BS476 pt. 6 & 7 Class O. The softness of this foam makes it ideal for sealing applications where only a low compression force can be applied.
Pakcel EVA Foam
Our Pakcel EVA foam is a dense closed cell foam suitable for cost effective sealing and gasketing applications and with good impact resistance it is aslo widely used in sporting applicatins,it has good weather and chemical, oil, and fuel spill / splash resistances, thermal insulation and acoustical properties, and resilience / buoyancy and low-water absorption. Where we find that Pakcel really stands out is in display packaging as its very fine cell structure is asthetically pleasing and has an almost soft touch feel to it.
