Flexible EMI Absorber Materials

Flexible EMI Absorber Gasket, Wurth 324075S

Würth Elektronik WE-FAS EMI Flexible Absorbers

The Würth Elektronik WE-FAS EMI range is a family of high-performance EMI absorber material, engineered to suppress electromagnetic interference across a broad frequency spectrum.

Constructed from a special ferrite-loaded rubber compound with an integrated double-sided adhesive backing, these sheets offer an effective, easy-to-install solution for managing unwanted EMI noise in a wide range of electronic assemblies.

Broad frequency coverage — effective EMI absorption from low MHz frequencies through to multi-GHz, with permeability grades of µ’ = 39 and µ’ = 23 at 1 MHz available to suit different frequency targets

Non-flammable and self-extinguishing — the material meets non-inflammable and self-extinguishing requirements, supporting flammability-conscious designs

Fully compliant — RoHS compliant, REACH conformant, and Halogen Free (JEDEC JS709B) on most grades, facilitating use in environmentally-regulated products.

Wide operating temperature range — rated from -20 °C to +90 °C, covering the majority of industrial and commercial electronic applications.

Available in two permeability grades and thicknesses from as thin as 0.1 mm, the WE-FAS family delivers design flexibility without compromising on performance.

Typical applications

WE-FAS EMI absorber sheets are used wherever electromagnetic noise needs to be attenuated, absorbed, or contained. Common applications include:

  • PCB and flex-circuit noise suppression — placed over or under noisy components to reduce radiated emissions and prevent cross-coupling between circuit areas.

  • Antenna performance optimisation — positioned behind or around antenna structures to prevent signal loss into metal chassis, improving gain and efficiency in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular designs.

  • NFC and RFID isolation — used to decouple NFC/RFID antenna coils from metallic substrates in smartphones, contactless payment devices, and access control systems.

  • Wireless charging (Qi) receiver modules — placed between the charging coil and the battery or metal chassis to improve coupling efficiency and reduce heating.

  • Consumer electronics and wearables — integrated into smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearable devices where thin, flexible EMI management is essential.

  • IoT and connected devices — provides cost-effective EMI attenuation in space-constrained PCB designs for smart home, industrial IoT, and sensor applications.

  • Industrial and general electronics — suitable for suppressing interference in power electronics, motor drives, and control boards within operating environments up to +90 °C.

How we convert the WE-FAS EMI Flexible Absorber range

We supply WE-FAS EMI absorber sheets processed to your exact requirements using our precision Die-Cutting and CNC-Knife Table machinery.

Whether you need high-volume repeatable parts or low-quantity prototypes in complex profiles, we can deliver cut-to-shape pieces ready for direct integration into your assembly.

Our processing capabilities include:

Die-Cutting

Ideal for high-volume production runs requiring consistent, repeatable shapes with tight tolerances.

Tooled dies produce clean, burr-free edges through the ferrite rubber and adhesive layers simultaneously.

CNC-Knife Table Cutting

Perfect for prototypes, development samples, and low-to-medium volume runs where bespoke shapes or frequent design changes make hard tooling impractical. No tooling cost and fast turnaround.

Because the material is supplied to us in sheet form and already carries its own adhesive backing, parts leave our facility with the release liner intact, ready for immediate peel-and-stick installation on your PCB, housing, or component.
